Favor is Forever...
Lekeshia Walton is a captivating dancer of natural talent, using her gift with the joy of an innocent child and the fight of a warrior. As a late bloomer, she started her dance career at the age of 17 at South Atlanta High School, where she was chosen as captain for Purple Rain solely from one dance audition performance. Shortly afterwards opportunities to choreograph, instruct, teach and perform locally, nationally and internationally with dance became available and a dream come true. While continuing her pursuit for dance, she’s been graced to not only be on stage but work behind the scenes with costume design, music production, graphics design, make-up artistry, styling, organizing and planning dance productions, performances and charity events. Her desire to see others dance in the uniqueness of God’s image as second business, she established Stretch Dance Company (located in Tyrone, GA; I Beat A.L.L.) in 2013 to truly present dance from the heartbeat of her vision. As Stretch Dance Company's leader, heartbeat and visionary, her aim is for every student in Stretch Dance Company to dance distinctively, passionately and authoritatively. Allowing their gifts to make room for them. “You were born to dance”, "Choose to be Chosen" and "Rise and Shine" have been mottos used for Stretch Dance Company. She believes we were all created to worship in various forms, including dance for an exclusive purpose. As Lekeshia Walton evolves so does the vision of Stretch Dance Company.
